Business Against Bigotry
The 'Business Against Bigotry' campaign will be a long term and far reaching initiative.
Equality North East will identify and partner with like minded organisations. Organisations that can help us move equality and diversity up the corporate agenda. No organisation is excluded. Whatever your business, whatever your size, whatever your sector - we need your support.
The 'Business Against Bigotry' strategy will evolve. This strategy will be communicated to all of our pledgers.
Initially, we need to create 'Business Against Bigotry' capacity and primarily:
- elicit a genuine pledge to good equality and diversity practice by openly challenging any form of bigotry in the workplace and by striving to create a working environment in which all employees are treated with dignity and respect.
Pledgers will be presented with a signed 'Business Against Bigotry' certificate for hanging in a suitable, visible location within their organisation.
This section of the website has a 'Sign-Up' area where new BAB pledgers can join the campaign and an area where existing BAB pledgers will be listed in a 'Roll of Honour'. With our pledgers' permission we will include a short business biography and photograph and/or a hyperlink to their website.
