Praise for efforts to ensure equality in the workplace

THE efforts being made in the North-East to stamp out discrimination and promote equality at work have been celebrated and highlighted.

The North-East Equality Awards, organised by Equality North-East, provided a platform to promote the work being done by companies across the region to provide equal opportunities for all.

This year's event, held in the Gateshead Hilton Hotel last Friday, were hailed as the most successful yet.

EXCEPTIONAL efforts to stamp out discrimination and promote fairness at work have been highlighted at the annual North-East Equality Awards.

The awards, which this year attracted a record number of entries, were presented at the NewcastleGateshead Hilton. Now in their fourth year, the awards organised by Equality North-East, recognise the good work being done in both public and private sectors.
