Department for Transport: Guidance to local authorities and operators on provisions in the Equality Act in respect of taxis

This guidance advises local authorities and taxi and private hire vehicle operators on sections of the Equality Act which will apply from 1 October 2010. It covers duties to assist passengers and exemptions.
