Vegetarians and vegans �may be protected by equality bill�
Vegetarians and vegans should be protected by the belief strand of the equality bill, according to a code of practice published by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
The guidance, drafted to coincide with the new bill, specifies that beliefs that qualify for protection from discrimination need not be religions in the traditional sense.
�A belief need not include faith or worship of a god or gods, but must affect how a person lives their life or perceives the world,� it says.
