60% of leaders feel they can't open up about mental health concerns

More than six in 10 senior business leaders have suffered from mental health conditions, yet feel it is harder to speak about their issues because of their position.

Research from Bupa Global, which found that senior staff were suffering from conditions including anxiety, depression and stress, revealed that 58% felt that it was harder for leaders to speak about their mental health.

The study found that most leaders feel they can’t talk about their mental health because they fear it would reflect negatively on their ability to cope as a leader and would limit their career.
