1 day programme (standalone or part of the Inclusive Leadership Programme). Recruiting the right talent for your business is pivotal to success. Understanding how to ensure your business is truly inclusive, has a wide range of benefits. Removing barriers and ensuring that your organisation is open to everyone regardless of disability, age, race or other protected characteristics can create a reputation as a good place to work, reduce employee turnover and enhance the satisfaction levels of your staff members.
This programme covers the recruitment process from advertising the vacancy through the appointment of the candidate. It gives managers who take part in the recruitment process the knowledge to ensure they appoint the right candidate first time and avoid common mistakes that may lead to breaches in employment and equality law. Specific topics covered include: -
Is your application form fit for purpose; sifting and selecting candidates for interview; the interview process questions to avoid; notifying candidates; making a formal offer and planning for the first week and beyond.
