We are looking for six enthusiastic and innovative Graduate Teaching Assistants in the following areas of our Higher Education curriculum:


Health and Social Care

Engineering /Maths



Children and Young People

The successful post holders will be responsible for providing support and coaching services to help enhance the student journey. You will be required to work with the College’s HE academic staff to add value to existing support activities. Through the development of workshops and support materials you will provide a relevant and tailored service which builds confidence, improves students’ participation rates and brokers improved levels of involvement and interaction with academic teams. You will be required to monitor achievement rates, progression rates, grade profiles and non-continuation rates to support the drive to improve rates across all areas. You will develop a referral system for ‘at risk’ students and to monitor participation rates and progress.

Successful candidates will be educated to Level 7 (ie Masters Level) or be working towards, have experience of working with young people and adults with a range of abilities and have knowledge of Higher Education study skills and formal writing conventions.

Your hours of work will be flexible and will include evenings according to student demand.
