Harambee Pasadia Music and Dance Camping Festival - Friday May 26 to Monday May 29, based out of The Hub in Barnard Castle, County Durham Organised by Newcastle-based musicians Hannabiell Sanders and Yilis del Carmen Suriel, Harambee Pasadia North East: 5th Annual Afro-fusion Music & Camping Festival is a family extravaganza in celebration of diverse cultures, foods, music, artists, and the fusions of the African diaspora. It is a weekend full of cultural and educational experiences for the whole family, which brings together local and national musicians, dancers, wellbeing experts, cultural practitioners, and food vendors to create an atmosphere that celebrates the African Diaspora in the North East. As well as performances by a multitude of artists including Sekou Keita, Black Voices and an Afro Fusion Ceilidh Band, several interactive workshops will also be on offer at the TCR Hub in the town. Different arts from West African drumming to salsa dancing, yoga, and Capoeira will also be available as well as a wel-being area offering massage therapy, hair braiding and gong baths and activities such as BMX, high ropes, canoeing, paddle boarding and wood carving. A new space called speakersí corner where a series of conversation, presentation and life skills building activities based around social justice and unity will also be held.
